(4hr) Online Rigger Course with new ANSI/ASSE 10.48 Standard
“Criteria for Safety Practices with the Construction, Demolition, Modification and Maintenance of Communications Structures.” ANSI 10.48 is telecom’s first extensive standard including the complete tower process from construction to maintenance.
Course Description
Competent Rigger students shall obtain a complete understanding and full knowledge base of how to prepare a complete rigging plan and execute the work described in the rigging plan. Prior knowledge upon the start of this training program should include but not limited to:
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Authorized-Climber/Rescuer certification
- Basic knowledge of equipment training – winch, capstan, crane, rigging, Gin Pole as applicable
- 36 month prior working experience, general climbing knowledge and construction installation
- Read and understand construction drawings and rigging plans
- Ability to write rigging plans
- Intro to RF training
- Knowledge for temporary supports including guy cables, anchorages, structural member supports
- Understanding of functioning and nonfunctioning parts of a rigging plan
- Knowledge of construction processes and the effects it has on the structure
- Equipment logs and Inspection
- Vector Forces
- OSHA/ANSI rules, regulations and best practices
